I couldn't stay up until 12:30. I wasn't so tired as to be literally crashing, but my eyes just wouldn't stay open any longer, so I went to bed around noon. I heard +Kyle come in and leave for work, and I'm pretty sure we exchanged niceties, but I don't remember what.

Didn't wake up until 7:00. Tying a bandanna around one's eyes helps block out light, and that seemed to do the trick. Now if I can just stay up later and actually do some things around the house. Well, I did some dishes, and straightened my closet, but that's about it.

I dreamed about work. :P all know I'm a klutz. Anyone who knows me knows this. I wake up with mysterious bruises all the time. Heavenly days, this is a dangerous job, though. I get more scrapes and bumps on the inside of my arm than I've ever seen. People are going to think I'm a needle freak if it gets much worse. LOL! Nah, it's not really that bad, it's just amusing because of how easily I bruise and how bad they look even if they aren't that bad. The slightest bump does me in.

Ah well. I have a pretty high threshhold of pain, so it's not that big a deal.

Anyway...I've been going back and forth between other things, and now it's nearly time for work so...until next time, kids...

I need to stay off the phone today in case anyone calls about a job.

I hate that. :P

There's plenty around here that needs doing, but I have to be careful because I'm trying to keep that pulled muscle from getting any worse. Can't DDR. Need to not do any heavy lifting. Don't feel like playing Vice City. Am hoping Ian remembers to bring that stack of movies tomorrow when he comes to pick up +Kyle for work. To watch Harry Potter and various anime would be quite good.

What can I do?

Fill out more apps just in case
Finish organizing my CDs

Update as I think of things...

Darn it! I was going to make a very very important poll, but alas, no paid account. Blah. Anyone paid up care to contact me for the info and see if it'll let me post it here?

Got X-Rayed Wednesday afternoon. Nothing broken; just a bad sprain. The doctor gave me some exercises to do, told me to alternate heat and ice, and prescribed an anti-inflammatory. She said to start putting weight on it as soon as possible, to keep it from being weak.

I've been pretty good, and have been gradually gaining movement throughout the day. I started out using both crutches to gingerly put weight on the foot. Later I just used one crutch. By 5:00, I'm able to limp fairly well without needing either of them.

I should be able to stand or maybe even dance tonight after all. There's a costume dance at MSC that +Kyle and I have been excited about for weeks now. I was worried that my foot would be broken, but it looks like things will be okay. :)

If a bicycle tries to occupy the same space as an oncoming motor vehicle, calamity will occur.

My bicycle was struck by a police car last night, unfortunately while I was on it.

I was traveling west with traffic. He was coming east, and slowing to turn the vehicle into a parking lot, only going about 2-5 MPH. I was going pretty fast, as the road has a downhill slope. About the time I realized he wasn't going to stop, but was instead continuing to turn, I veered to the right to try to avoid impact. I almost made it, but his bumper clipped my back tire. I went down pretty hard, and have definitely sprained my left ankle. They had me give a statement and talk to Chief Hicks.

Really, I felt worse for Sergeant Cook, who hit me - he was beside himself over it, and couldn't/wouldn't stop apologizing. This is potentially his career on the line.

I denied medical attention last night (stupid!), but the Chief and Assistant Chief both told me that if I had any problems over the next few days to call them and they'll take me to get checked out, and pay for everything. I'm going to call after work, because I can't put any weight on it today, and it's swelled very badly. I don't think anything's seriously broken, but there may be a small fracture in there somewhere. I've never broken anything, but have had 3 hairline fractures over time.

I probably should go now, but we do have a paper to get out, and I don't know how long this will all take.

So there's my adventure. I even got to ride in a police car, because they wouldn't let me bike home. LOL

I am not doing well at all with the bike. I fell again today on the way to the post office...landed on my right hip and bonked my noggin on the road - in the middle of an intersection, no less. I felt ok, so finished my errands, but had a lady who was coming out of the post office look to see if I was bleeding or anything. She said to put ice on it when I got home, and that's what I'm doing now. My pupils are the same size, and I don't feel dizzy or anything, but the bump is pretty big - about the size of my palm. Methinks I will invest in a helmet. ^_^'>

The good news? I got a bunch more grab bags mailed out today. +Kyle made an appointment to get the brakes fixed on Tuesday! Wai! Wai! Thank you to everyone who helped to this end!
