Finally!

Got the scanner set up, and now ten of my dreams are illustrated. Yes, they're sketchy at best, but that's how they're meant to be...so there.

There are so many more inside just waiting to get out, but alas, I cannot draw anything inside this house. It's a block, and I blame Washu. So my muse must patiently wait for me to be out in the car, at the laundromat, or some other place where my mind is more at ease. Methinks I'll spend some quality time at it while +Kyle is out of town this weekend...if I have time.

Well!

Hey, I got more than 4 hours' sleep this morning! Can't sleep any longer now, but the neighbors are playing their music too loud again, anyway, so...*shrug*

I've been trying to decide what to do next weekend while +Kyle's out of town. I think I'll take a couple of the instant cameras around and take pictures of all the 'Crappe Emporiums' in the area. We've talked about doing it since we moved here, but with only a couple of months left, it must be done.

I also need to take some boxes of stuff to Goodwill or Salvation Army. Shall I go to Durant or Ardmore?

I'm starting to get scared about this whole moving back thing. I guess the reality of it is setting in. We have been here for so long, and feeling trapped for so long that it seemed we'd never escape. Now that the days are getting slimmer, I find myself being afraid to make that journey home. Do I want to live in Oklahoma for the rest of my life? God forbid! But now I have ties here, too.

Someone told me the other day they thought it was interesting that we were making all these friends suddenly, now that we didn't really *need* them anymore. It saddens me, because now it's going to be hard to leave, instead of being a completely joyful release and escape. I love VJ to death, and since I've been getting closer with friends from MSC, there are more people I don't want to leave. I have friends at work, too. I think I'm going to miss Jon the most, and vice versa. Every time my leaving comes up, he gets this sad little puppy dog sound to his voice, and says, "I don't want you to go." We have so much fun cutting up at work, and share music all the time, etc. Kindred spirits.

It's time to capture some memories. There's not much time left for it.

Speaking of capturing memories, I finally found the disc of pictures from Christmas! WAI! This is a good example of the *subtle* "goth" look that I usually wear. It's not that bad, now, is it? I'm especially proud of the katana picture. I couldn't have gotten a better shot if I'd tried.

We got a couch today!

Lori & I were chatting about something, and the subject of a couch came up, and I mentioned that no, we didn't have one. Sherry came up a little later and said she and Mark have been trying to sell theirs (for $250 - she didn't say this, but I happen to know.) for six months. She said they'd be glad to give it to us if we'd come get it from their house. Boo-yah!

I need to write out a card and leave it on her desk tomorrow.

We just got finished watching The Boondock Saints on said new couch, which, by the way is deslightfully pluffy! The movie is fantastic. The language is, well, on the side of any of Kevin Smith's work, but oh, the story... And the execution (if you'll pardon the pun)... Oh, and the soundtrack! Muahahaha...

This film is in a long line of people seeing it, purchasing it, letting a friend see it, said friend purchases it, said friend lends it to another friend...friend purchases it...you see the trend. Lori is in the 3rd or 4th generation of this line, and now we've decided we would like to have it as well. LOL

If for no other reasons than Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, and the always entertaining Billy Connolly, see this movie. I even liked Willem Dafoe in this - he could be my next Christopher Walken.

In other news, no, I still have not gotten around to making new LJ icons...nor getting pictures for eBay...nor the countless other things I need to do to prepare for Friday.

But I did wash dishes today.

Got to go to bed early tonight. We're having an early breakfast at the Western Inn, then I'm taking +Kyle to school, then coming back to work, then tomorrow night...GAME NIGHT! Woo+! Hope I get there early enough to play a round of pool before the tournament starts.

Well today was slightly less than productive. :P +Kyle remembered he had a reloading session at Jeff's house about the time I was going to do laundry, so I decided to go with him and just hit the laundromat in Tish. This was about 1:00.

We got home just before 6:00. I took almost 2 hours at the laundromat, because their dryers are worthless. I did get in some quality drawing time, though. I've been having rather vivid dreams lately, and had some interesting imagery I wanted to keep in memory, so I had the chance to do some *very* sketchy pictures. One of these days, they will invent a machine that will project the images in your head onto a screen, or better yet, a computer, and I can truly recreate the scenes in my mind. But until then, I have to be satisfied with my limited capabilities, and also live with the fact that I'm lazy enough that I probably won't go back over these and detail them to any satisfactory degree. It's really okay, though...I have always preferred my sketchy style over my clean line style...it's just *too* clean. Things are so muddled up here that it feels wrong to ink my art most of the time.

I really need to start scanning these and posting them with the dreams...

About 3:00, I went back to Jeff's to see if they were wrapping up. Not. Even. Close. So I hung around a few minutes, since it was of mild interest, but Mike got tacky, and +Kyle suggested I leave, which was sounding pretty good to me, anyway. Not much to do in Tish, but what the hey?

I stopped by VJ's house to see if she was at home. Brian was there, and said she was in Madill at the shop with her mom. I can never catch her! I did mention that Wednesdays were good for us as well as Fridays and weekends, so they will get back with us on when a good time for bowling is. Yay!

But still, I had nothing to do, so I went down to the MSC campus and chilled in the common room at the dorm for about an hour. Brought my sketchpad and CD player and drew from dreams some more. I need pictures of Nabiki to work from for one in particular. Girl, Interrupted was playing on TBS, so I saw bits of that, but I was listening to Ozzy on the CD. I think I'd like to have that movie, but it brings back a lot of dark memories.

So...at least I got laundry done, and it's early enough that I can work out and clean the kitchen...I just don't want to do any of that now. :P

We *have* to get the living room clean this week. No choice in the matter.
