We went to Tulsa this weekend, and had much fun , of course.
We took a new route this time - going up 377 through Ada. It would supposedly take the same amount of time as going up to Oklahoma City, but without using a toll road. It actually shaved off an hour from the drive, and we saw many humorous signs.
We had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel on Skelly Drive again. For the first time, I had their Country Boy breakfast, and I see now why +Kyle likes it so much. How can you hate steak first thing in the morning? I can't.
Afterwards, we went to the gun show as usual. It's always interesting, but it's getting to be the same-old-same-old. Guns, knives, and a too-high percentage of people selling non-related items like Beanie Babies. Wha???
After several hours of walking around the show, we went for dinner. I had some freebie coupons for Chik-Fil-A, so we went to the mall, then bummed around awhile. This was amusing, although malls all tend to be the same as well. There is an Orange Julius in this particular mall, so we always stop for one. They're certainly not the healthiest drinks on the planet, but for a treat once or twice a year, they're divine. We both had the Strawberry Julius. Orange is good, but berry is better. :P
'Underworld' was still playing at the nice theatre we go to, so we went to the late showing. Wow. Awesome, awesome movie with an interesting twist on the Vampire and Werewolf things. We enjoyed it immensely; it'll be one to own. It's definitely renewed my interest in vampires.
By the time it was over, we were tired, so we went back to the hotel and caught a couple skits from Mad TV.
Sunday, we slept in, albeit not very late, because we had to check out before 11:00. We opted to skip breakfast and have an early lunch at TGI Friday's since it's been ages since we went to one. Our waiter kept trying to sell us this point program deal. I felt badly for him, but +Kyle was insistent that he didn't want "yet another card" for something. It's just as well - we only ate at Friday's once or twice a year when we were well off, much less now. :P
After lunch, we decided to come back to Madill.
