My system is *almost* working. The onboard sound doesn't work, but disabling it and using my SoundBlaster card doesn't work either...so ERK!
Will fight with it tomorrow. I just thought of something. *makes notes*
Uninstall current drivers
Disable jumper
reinstall SoundBlaster
set BIOS back to 'Auto' instead of 'Disabled'
Time for sleep.
